Katrina Kaif was born on 16 July 1983 in Hong-Kong to a Kashmiri father Mohammed Kaif and English Mother Susanna Turcotte. From Hong Kong, she and her family went to China, later to Japan. When she was 8 they moved to France from Japan (by boat) and also moved to Switzerland, Krakow, Berlin, Belgium, and many other East European countries. After all the countries of East Europe they moved to Hawaii, England. When she came to India, she changed her surname to that of her father's Kaif, because it was Indian by name.
